- My name is Chelsea and I'm from Illinois, about 30 minutes outside of Chicago. I recently lost my younger brother. He died of a drug overdose at 20 years old. He was my whole world and I loved him more than anything or anyone. I am new to experiencing grief as I have never before had anyone close to me pass on. I hope to find some similarities and comfort in others who have been where i am or are currently in that mode.

Just know that there will be battles and you will win them all. Come here whenever and find respite and reprieve from battle by sharing and blogging, especially in those times when you feel your heart has taken a heavy blow.
Here's how it works: whenever you take away something, there is a tendency for its opposite to manifest. Take away happiness and sadness wants to creep in. Take away love and hate or anger wants to creep in. Take away chances and regret wants to creep in. Take away life and death wants to creep in. Now someone you love has been taken away from you and you have discovered that grief has been eager to creep in. So how do you fight to keep the opposite of life and happiness from manifesting? Glorify the love you knew with tales of happy memories! Glorify love with love, glorify happiness with happiness, glorify positivity with positivity, and glorify life with life! Can you truly expect to fight grief with grief? Never! Fight anger of death with happy appreciation of life! Fight regrets of lost opportunity for one with found discoveries of chances for others!
